Mr. Miller is the founder and Chief Executive Offer (CEO) of 1 Global Data Protection Advisors (1GDPA), a small veteran-owned consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations build and mature data protection, privacy, and AI governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs while supporting revenue growth and mission success.

Mr. Miller has over two decades of experience as a trusted advisor to private sector businesses and government organizations, both in the United States (US) and abroad.

Before founding 1GDPA, Mr. Miller was a principal consultant with the non-profit MITRE Corporation. He supported a myriad of government agencies in the US and in Europe, including the Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Administrative Offices of the US Courts, among others.

Prior to Joining MITRE, Mr. Miller practiced corporate law at Day Pitney LLP. His clients ranged from local startups to large multinationals with global portfolios. Mr. Miller began his professional life as an officer in the US Army where he served with distinction in Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Mr. Miller is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) with specialties in US Government, US Private Sector, and European data protection regimes, as well as a Strategic Management Professional (SMP). Mr. Miller is an alumnus of Boston University (BA), Syracuse University (JD, MPA), and Universiteé Panthéon-Assas, Paris II (LL.M). He is a member of the bar in New York and Connecticut.

Outside the office, Kris likes to live. He is a Certified Sommelier, he operates a beverage education and travel consulting business, and he can be found on either touring skis or a motorcycle.
